Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 April 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Zowrk Industries Ltd (“Zowrk,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our website, dashboard, and related services (the “Services”). It applies whether you are a creator using Zowrk to run your business or a buyer purchasing from a creator's storefront.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Account information — name, email address, password (hashed), profile details, and plan.
  • Business information — clients, invoices, products, prices, payout accounts, and content you upload.
  • Payment information — handled by our payment partners (e.g. Paystack). We do not store full card numbers. We may store the last 4 digits, card brand, transaction IDs, and payout history.
  • Usage data — pages visited, actions taken, device type, browser, IP address, and approximate location, collected via cookies and analytics tools.
  • Communications — emails you send to us, support tickets, and feedback.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services.
  • Process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Send transactional emails (verification codes, receipts, account notices).
  • Respond to your support requests.
  • Send product updates and (where permitted) marketing emails — you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Legal bases (GDPR / NDPR users)

Where applicable, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (operating your account); legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement); consent (optional cookies and marketing); and legal obligation (tax, accounting, regulatory requests).

4. How we share information

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers — hosting (Vercel), database (Neon/Postgres), email delivery (Resend), payments (Paystack), and analytics. They process data on our behalf under written agreements.
  • Buyers and clients — when you send an invoice or sell a product, the recipient receives the information needed to complete the transaction (your business name, invoice details, etc.).
  • Authorities — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business transfers — in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to you.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Services, and understand usage. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may break parts of the dashboard.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as required to provide the Services. After deletion, we may retain limited records for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or backup purposes for a reasonable period before purging.

7. International transfers

Zowrk operates from the United States and uses providers based in the US, EU, and UK. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to these jurisdictions, which may have different data-protection laws than your own. We use standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards where required.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. Nigeria, EU, UK, California), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your information (subject to legal exceptions).
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive a portable copy of your information.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (e.g. NDPC in Nigeria).

To exercise these rights, email privacy@zowrk.com. We will verify your identity before responding.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures including TLS in transit, hashed passwords, encrypted secrets, role-based access control, and audit logging. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data. Notify us immediately at security@zowrk.com if you suspect a vulnerability or breach.

10. Children

Zowrk is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used Zowrk, contact us and we will delete the data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or in the dashboard. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
